The Urban Helper Inc. (“Urban Helper,” “Company,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) respects the privacy of its Users (“User,” or “you”). This Privacy Policy (the “Policy”) explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard your information when you visit our website i.e., www.urbanhelper.com (the “Site”) or any mobile application developed by us. PLEASE READ THIS PRIVACY POLICY CAREFULLY TO UNDERSTAND OUR POLICIES AND PRACTICES REGARDING YOUR INFORMATION AND HOW WE WILL TREAT IT. IF YOU DO NOT AGREE WITH THE TERMS OF THIS PRIVACY POLICY, PLEASE DO NOT ACCESS THE SITE.

This policy applies to information we collect:

  • On our Site and using our Platform.
  • In e-mail, text and other electronic messages between you and Urban Helper.
  • Through mobile and desktop applications that you download from our Site or the Platform
  • When you interact with our advertising and applications on third-party websites and services, if those applications or advertising include links to this Policy.
  • When you voluntarily share information from your social media account.

It does not apply to information collected by:

  • us offline or through any other means, including on any other website operated by Company or any third party (including our affiliates and subsidiaries); or
  • any third party, including through any application or content (including advertising) that may link to or be accessible from our Site and/ or the Platform.

BY USING THE SITE AND PLATFORM, YOU WARRANT AND REPRESENT THAT YOU HAVE READ, UNDERSTAND AND AGREE TO ALL TERMS AND CONDITIONS STATED HEREIN, INCLUDING OUR TERMS OF SERVICE, WHICH IS INCORPORATED HEREIN BY REFERENCE, AND WHICH GOVERN THE USE OF THE PLATFORM AND RELATED SERVICES.

The capitalized terms have the same meaning as ascribed to them Terms of Service, unless otherwise noted here.

You should check this Policy frequently for any changes. We reserve the right to modify or amend the terms of our Policy from time to time and you will be notified of such changes by notifications on our Website, and/or Platform, or by sending you emails informing you of such changes, or by any other reasonable means. Your continued use of our Website and/or our Platform, following the posting of changes to these terms will mean you accept those changes. If we intend to apply the modifications or amendments to this Policy pertaining to personal information already in our possession, we will provide you with notice of the modifications or amendments 15 days prior to such modifications or amendments taking effect.

     1. WHAT KIND OF INFORMATION DO WE COLLECT

We collect several types of information from and about Users of our Site and/or Platform, including the following information:

     a. Personally Identifiable Information

The Company collects personal information only if you voluntarily choose to share such information with the Company. You may browse the Site without disclosing any Personal Information. However, in order for you to register for a User account and take advantage of the Platform, we may require that you furnish Personally identifiable information. When you create an account to use the Platform or register for the Beta Test, the Company will collect information including your name, address, phone number and email address.

     b. Account Activity Information

When you create an account on our Site, we will collect details of transactions you carry out through our Site and/or Platform and of the fulfillment of your Tasks.

     c. Background Check Information

The Company may use a third-party vendor for conducting background checks on prospective Users. However, company does not store any information collected by the third-party vendor during the background check process.

     d. If you contact us directly, we may receive additional information about you, such as your name, email address, phone numbers, the contents of the message. This also includes information collected from you when you participate in a Task.

     e. Information that we collect when you use our Site and/or Platform

Location Information. We collect this information from your Social Media Provider, automatically as you navigate through our Site and/or Platform, through your Internet provider or wireless service provider, whichever applicable.

Automatic Data Collection Technologies. As you navigate through and interact with our Site and/or Platform, we may use automatic data collection technologies to collect certain information about your equipment, browsing actions and patterns, including: (1) details of your visits to our Site and/or Platform, including traffic data, location data, logs and other communication data and the resources that you access and use on the Site and/or Platform. (2) information about your computer and internet connection, including your IP address, operating system and browser type.

     f. Anonymous or Aggregated Data.

THE COMPANY ALSO COLLECTS AND STORES CERTAIN DATA ABOUT THE USE OF THE PLATFORM ON AN AGGREGATE AND/OR ANONYMOUS BASIS. THE COMPANY DOES NOT LINK THIS INFORMATION TO ANYTHING PERSONALLY IDENTIFIABLE TO YOU.

     2. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION?

We use information that we collect about you or that you provide to us, including any personal in

formation for the following purposes:

  • For scheduling, rescheduling, and cancelling services between Users;
  • Rating User experiences;
  • Addressing User complaints;
  • Communicating with you by email, telephone, or text message;
  • Managing compensation for using the Platform and related services;
  • Improving customer experiences;
  • Sending you marketing and promotional emails, unless you have opted out of them;
  • Troubleshooting technical problems on the Platform;
  • Responding to questions and feedback;
  • Conducting research and analysis;
  • Running online or mobile sweepstakes, contents, or other promotions;
  • Marketing and advertising products and services;
  • Continuously evaluating and improving the online and mobile user experience;
  • Preventing, discovering and investigating violations of this Policy or any applicable Terms of Service, and investigating fraud, chargebacks or other matters
  • Contacting you with regard to your use of the Platform; and
  • For making changes to the Platform at our discretion.

     3. USER COMMUNICATIONS & OPT-OUT

By using the platform, you expressly consent and agree to accept and receive communications from us, including via e-mail, text message, calls, and push notifications to the cellular telephone number you provided to us. 

If you wish to opt-out of promotional emails, text messages, or other communications, you may opt-out by following the unsubscribe options described below. Standard text messaging charges applied by your cell phone carrier will apply to text messages we send. You acknowledge that you are not required to consent to receive promotional messages as a condition of using the Platform. You may opt-out of receiving promotional or marketing texts or calls from the Company at any time. You may also opt-out of receiving all texts or calls from the Company (including informational or transactional messages), however you acknowledge that opting out of receiving all texts may impact your use of the Platform.

The information described in this section may be transferred to, or processed and stored in, the United States and other countries, which may employ greater or less restrictive data protection laws. In all cases, we will take appropriate measures to protect your information in accordance with the policies described herein.

You may contact privacy@urbanhelper.com to update, correct, or delete your personal information. In addition, you may cancel or modify the email communications you have chosen to receive from the Platform by following the instructions contained in emails from us.

To preserve the integrity of our databases, we may retain information submitted by Users for an indefinite length of time. If required by law, we will delete personal information by erasing it from our database. We will also respond to User requests to delete or correct account or personal information, which you can do by contacting the Urban Helper at privacy@urbanhelper.com.

     4. HOW WE PROTECT YOUR INFORMATION

The security and confidentiality of your personal information is important to us. We have implemented technical, administrative, and physical security measures to protect your information from unauthorized access or disclosure and improper use. In addition, access to your information is restricted in our offices. Only employees who need the information to perform a specific job, for example, sales representatives, managers, and customer service staff, are granted access to information. All employees with access to information are kept up-to-date on our security and privacy practices. After a new policy is added, these employees are notified and/or reminded about the importance we place on privacy, and what they can do to enhance protection for our users' information.

We will not transfer to a non-agent third party any information that is sensitive in nature, such as information specifying your medical or health condition, racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, religious or philosophical beliefs, trade union membership without your prior affirmative consent.

The safety and security of your information also depends on you. Therefore, it is important for you to protect against unauthorized access to your account password and to your computer. Be sure to log out of your account or to close your browser after you have completed your visit to our Site. Where we have given you (or where you have chosen) a password for access to certain parts of our Website and/or App, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential. We ask you not to share your password with anyone.

Please note that despite our reasonable efforts, no security measure is ever perfect or impenetrable, so we cannot guarantee the security of your information.

     5. HOW WE SHARE YOUR INFORMATION

When you submit information to the Company, it is collected, processed and maintained solely by us or by third party agents who are bound by privacy restrictions at least as restrictive as those set forth in this Policy. We may allow our business partners to collect information about Users that is not extremely sensitive Information.

If you would like to opt out from the onward transfer of your information to our non-agent partners, you may send us an email at privacy@urbanhelper.com. Include the word "privacy" in the subject line of the email and all your registration information in the body of the email.

Some of the Company’s content is "sponsored by" or "presented by" other companies. The Company may share market research data (how the sponsorship performed, names of contest winners, etc.) collected on this Site or via email surveys with these partners. THIS INFORMATION IS AGGREGATE AND NOT LINKED TO SPECIFIC USERS.

Partners may sponsor promotions, contests and sweepstakes that require you to reveal details such as your name, address or phone number. Always check their privacy policy before revealing information about yourself. If you don't want these sponsors to have your personal information, you can choose to not participate.

     6. HOW YOUR INFORMATION MAY BE DISCLOSED

We may disclose personal information that we collect, or you provide as described in this Policy:

  • To our subsidiaries and affiliates.
  • To contractors, service providers and other third parties, such as our payment processing partners, we use to support our business and who are bound by contractual obligations to keep personal information confidential and use it only for the purposes for which we disclose it to them.
  • To a buyer or other successor in the event of a merger, divestiture, restructuring, reorganization, dissolution or other sale or transfer of some or all of the Company’s assets, whether as a going concern or as part of bankruptcy, liquidation or similar proceeding, in which personal information held by the Company about our Site and/or Platform users is among the assets transferred.

OUR COOKIE POLICY

When you visit websites on the Internet, your browser may automatically transmit information to the websites you visit throughout every visit. Like many websites, we may use “cookies” to collect information. A cookie is a small data file that we transfer to your computer’s hard disk for record-keeping purposes. We may utilize persistent cookies that only the Company can read and use to save your login information for future logins to the Site, to hold session information, and to track user preferences. We may utilize session ID cookies to enable certain features of the Platform, to better understand how you interact with the Site and to monitor aggregate usage by our users and web traffic routing on the Platform, to track the number of entries in the Company promotions, sweepstakes and contests and to identify visited areas of the Site and the Platform.      7. CHILDREN UNDER THE AGE OF 13

Our Site and/or the, Platform is not intended for persons under 18 years of age. No one under age 18 may provide any information to our Site, or the Platform. Specifically, we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

If you are under 13, do not use or provide any information on our Site and/or the Platform or establish an account, and/or provide any information about yourself to us, including your name, address, telephone number, e-mail address or any screen name or user name you may use. If we learn we have collected or received personal information from a child under 13 without verification of parental consent, we will delete that information.      8. ACCESSING AND CORRECTING YOUR INFORMATION

You can view your personal information by logging into the Site and/or the Platform and by visiting your account page. You may also send us an e-mail at privacy@urbanhelper.com to request access to, correct or delete any personal information that you have provided to us. We cannot delete your information except by also deleting your account. We may not accommodate a request to change information if we believe the change would violate any law or legal requirement or cause the information to be incorrect. If you delete your account from our Site, copies of your Content may remain viewable in cached and archived pages or might have been copied or stored by other Site users. Proper access and use of information provided on the Site, including Content, is governed by our Terms of Service

     9. NOTIFICATION OF CHANGES

It is our policy to post any changes we make to our Policy, on this page. If we make material changes to how we treat our User’s information, we will notify you by e-mail to the e-mail address specified in your account and/or through a notice on the Site home page and comparable place on the Platform. The date the Policy was last revised/updated is identified at the top of the page. You are responsible for ensuring we have an up-to-date active and deliverable e-mail address for you, and for periodically visiting our Site and/or App and this privacy policy to check for any changes. YOUR CALIFORNIA PRIVACY RIGHTS

We do not sell, trade, or otherwise transfer to outside third parties your personal information. California Civil Code Section § 1798.83 permits users of our Site and/or the Platform that are California residents to request certain information regarding our disclosure of personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes.      10. NOTICE TO USERS OUTSIDE OF THE UNITED STATES

The Company and its Platform, and its headquarters are based in the U.S. Access to our Site & the Platform is available only for use in the United States (the “Registered Territory”). Do not create an account on our Site if you reside outside the Registered Territory." Please be aware that information you provide to The Company may be processed and transferred to the U.S. and be subject to U.S. law. The privacy and data protection laws in the U.S. may not be equivalent to such laws in your country of residence. By using the Site, participating in any of the service, or by providing the Company with your information, you consent to this collection, transfer, storage, and processing of information to and in the U.S. The Company will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your data is treated securely in accordance with this Policy.
